Zero takes 'Best Electric Motorcycle' at 2019 MCN Awards
Groundbreaking electric motorcycle recognised by leading publication as 2019's 'Electric Bike of the Year'
Zero Motorcycles, the world’s leading manufacturer of full-sized all-electric motorcycles, has beaten off stiff competition to win the title of Motorcycle News (MCN)’s Electric Bike of the Year, in the UK motorcycle publication’s prestigious annual awards.
Judges called the SR/F “the genesis of a new generation of electric bikes” before adding “it is a real-life road bike that works, not some long-promised unicorn. You could buy an SR/F today, with a warranty, from a growing number of dealerships across Britain. And if you did, you’d own the very best electric motorcycle of 2019.”
The Zero SR/F represents a completely new platform for Zero, with a new Z-Force motor delivering 190Nm of torque and a top speed of 124mph, a 14.4kWh battery, sophisticated Bosch electronics, the new Cypher III operating system and a scalable charging system that can recharge the battery to 95% in an hour.
Dale Robinson, Zero’s UK Country Manager, accepted the award and commented: “The SR/F marks a major step forward in the evolution of electric motorcycles, at what is an exciting time for the industry.
